Oddbods - One offs to dodgy market trader goods!

THORN1.jpg (27490 bytes)

I'm pretty certain that Thorn never made commercial cassettes (I've never seen one, anyway) but this little thing was slotted into any Ferguson tape machine you may have purchased in the 1970s.  This one dates from around 1979 - earlier examples had a bolder font.

CONTEK.jpg (13175 bytes)

Much seen in bargain shops.  I had a similar version which was branded Audiogold rather than
Contek, I think the Contek version came later.  Not exactly amazing quality, but cheap...

RACAL.jpg (14564 bytes)

Racal are pretty well known for making... er... you know... oh, mobile phones and stuff, but
I've never come across one of these before.  That cover is enough to give you a migrane,
but it's strangely compelling...  note the big CC logo - classy!

JAMESY~1.jpg (12788 bytes)

Another new one on me.  The blank tape equivalent of an Open University title sequence.
Note the overdose of small print, they must have good eyesight in Cheltenham.   Highly reliable.

Coming soon - Kaytape, Cloud 7, Hardmann Audio (possibly), Decca, Dindy and lots more.  Well, a few anyway.  I should get a proper hobby.
